Leon Skousen titled "The Naked Capitalist: A Review and Commentary on Dr. I suggest that if you would like to understand Quigley without all of the loquacity of 1300 pages, you should read a much smaller critique of it by W. It is an eye-opener in the sense that you are left with the impression that world affairs are indeed controlled by a select few individuals (Quigley counts himself as a unique specimen of those who are "in the know"), that economic miracles and depressions are largely engineered, that wars are started mostly so that profiteers can make money, etc. Not many have actually slogged through it's entire length. It is 1300 plus pages and much of it is quite difficult to wade through, especially the sections on economics.
